Q: How do I log in to my CodeHunter account?

A: Go to your CodeHunter portal URL, enter your username and password, and click 'Log In.' Ensure your VPN is active if required by your organization.

Q: How do I reset my password?

A: Click 'Forgot Password?' on the login page, enter your email, and follow the link sent to your inbox to create a new password.

Q: I didn’t receive my password reset email—what should I do?

A: Check your spam folder, confirm with your admin that you’re an active user, and if issues persist, contact [email protected].

Q: How do I change my password?

A: Visit secure.codehunter.io, click 'Forgot password,' enter your email, and follow the reset steps. Then log in using your new password.

User Management & Roles

Q: How do I add users to my organization?

A: Admins can add users from the User Management page. Click 'Add User,' fill in the user’s name and email, then click 'Send.' The new user must activate their account within 24 hours.

Q: What user roles are available?

A: Roles include Viewer, Analyst, Administrator, and Global Administrator (for global accounts). Each role determines access levels for uploads, integrations, and user management.

Q: How do I edit a user’s name as an admin?

A: From the User Management page, click the three dots beside a user’s name, choose 'Edit Personal Info,' update their name, and click 'Save.'

Q: What are notifications and how do I manage them?

A: Hover over your name in the top-right corner, click 'Manage Notifications,' select preferences, and click 'Save.'

Q: How can I monitor usage across accounts?

A: Global Administrators can view total and per-account file usage in the Account Management dashboard and toggle ingestion for specific accounts.

Integrations

Q: How does CodeHunter integrate with SentinelOne?

A: The integration automatically sends 'Malicious' or 'Suspicious' incidents from SentinelOne to CodeHunter for analysis. Results appear in the incident’s Notes section in SentinelOne.

Q: How do I know if my SentinelOne API token is expiring?

A: An email notification is sent to the admin prior to the 12-month token expiration date.

Q: How do I set up Microsoft Defender integration?

A: Create an App registration in Microsoft Azure with the required API permissions, generate a client secret, and add the connector in CodeHunter Integrations.

Q: Can I integrate via API or Amazon S3?

A: Yes. Create a connector under Integrations. For API, CodeHunter provides Client Key and Secret for RESTful ingestion. For S3, provide AWS credentials to enable scanning of bucket-stored files.

File Analysis & Reports

Q: What file types does CodeHunter support?

A: Supported file types include .exe, .dll, .pdf, .docx, .xlsx, .pptx, .zip, and .tar. Contact [email protected] to request new file type support.

Q: How do I upload a file manually?

A: Click 'Upload File' in the dashboard, select a file, then click 'Upload & Scan.' Once uploaded, a confirmation banner will appear.

Q: What do verdicts mean in the Analysis Results?

A: Verdicts include Malicious, Suspicious, No Threat Detected, Trusted, or No Verdict (for unsupported formats like PDFs).

Q: What does 'Under Review' mean for a file?

A: Files too complex for automatic analysis are flagged for expert review by CodeHunter’s cybersecurity team.

Q: How do I generate a report?

A: From the Analysis Results table, click the report icon in the Actions column to generate an Executive Report. Once ready, you can view or download it.

Q: How do I export data?

A: Click 'Export' in the Analysis Results section, choose the fields to include, and download your CSV file.

Troubleshooting & Limits

Q: Is there a file size limit?

A: Yes, CodeHunter supports files up to 400MB.

Q: Why am I only seeing analysis results from the last two weeks?

A: The default date range is 14 days. Use the calendar filter to expand the timeframe or select 'All Files.'

Q: Why is my file status 'Under Review'?

A: Some files require expert analysis due to complexity. They’re manually reviewed by CodeHunter’s team for accuracy.
